Xat started in 2007 as a place where anyone could talk and be whoever they wanted to be. When the base migrated to Discord, the spirit came with it: an open floor, no script, no performance of niceness.
The rules are hyper specific and very short. Don't break Discord's Terms of Service, and don't jeopardize the server. Everything else is fair game.
Xat's goal is chaos, but comradery through it. Not friendship — fun. It is where people let loose and say the thing. If you are toxic here, expect the people you confront to report you. Nothing can be done about that except watching your tone, or, you know, asking Discord for a new account.
Expectations in this room
- Do not break Discord's Terms of Service. It gets deleted, and you get reported.
- Do not jeopardize the server.
- Toxicity is allowed — consequences from the people you aim it at are also allowed.
- No one owes you a soft landing. No one is going to chase you out either.
