These carry across the entire network, no matter which room you're standing in. Each community stacks its own rules on top.
The Golden Rules
Bless is here to be safe, real and awake — not hateful, not coddling. These two are the spine.
No hate, no harassment
Break it with proof and you may be gone the same day.
Absolutely not
- Slurs or hate toward race, ethnicity or nationality
- Slurs or hate toward LGBTQ+ people or gender identity
- Harassment, dogpiling, stalking, doxxing or group bullying
- Dehumanizing people over religion, disability, mental health or life situation
Edgy jokes are not banned, but they belong in the right channel, with people who clearly want that humor, and never aimed at someone for who they are.
If someone says 'that's not okay' or 'that's not funny to me,' you stop. No debate. No free-speech speech.
You can dislike someone's behavior. You cannot attack their identity.
What happens
- This rule sits outside the 3-strike system. With clear proof — screenshots, logs, recordings — you can be removed or blacklisted immediately.
- People removed for this are marked Banished in our records.
- We will review context, verify evidence, and let you tell your side if there's any doubt.
- We will not keep someone actively attacking others' identity, or let 'jokes' shield cruelty.
- If staff judge too harshly or unfairly, it can be challenged and reviewed by the Crown and Council. Staff actions are logged; overstepping staff get corrected, suspended or removed.
No cosseting, no weaponized comfort
Break it repeatedly and you enter the Uplift system as a Shirker.
Absolutely not
- Constant emotional dumping on others without consent
- Running to staff over every hurt feeling
- Guilt-tripping people for not inviting you to their group
- Trying to control how others joke, play or exist when they're within the rules
- Crusades to cancel someone who bruised your pride rather than broke a rule
Bless is a family-style community, not a therapy server and not a war zone. We care about comfort and safety — we just don't let comfort become a weapon.
We do support reporting real problems, talking through conflict like adults, owning your reactions, letting micro-cliques exist, and expecting shared spaces to stay civil between very different people.
You are always encouraged to report anything that feels off, unfair or dangerous, and to ask for help when you truly need it.
What happens
- You are not encouraged to make your emotional comfort the center of the community.
- You are not encouraged to demand others change harmless behavior because it annoys you.
- You are not encouraged to weaponize safety talk to control or punish people you don't like.
The Uplift system — Shirkers
Breaking Golden Rule 2 does not make you evil. It makes you a Shirker — someone whose behavior is tugging the community apart instead of holding it together.
Who it covers
- People who emotionally victimize themselves over every small slight
- People who inflate themselves and need to win every argument
- People who twist scenarios to stay right
- People who endlessly stir drama or drain staff time with avoidable issues
Almost everyone is a Shirker in some area — socially, emotionally, consumption-wise. The difference is what you do once it's pointed out.
How it works
- Each clear break of Golden Rule 2 earns a Shirker mark, and possibly the Shirker role.
- This is not public shaming. It's a flag: this person may be volatile or prone to distorting things — engage with care.
- All marks are logged so growth over time is visible.
- At 3 marks, the Council meets to decide whether you're someone in pain who needs boundaries and guidance, or someone here to tear at the seams.
- The goal is growth, not exile.
- The Crown has full discretion and has shirked in the past — it looks for honest growth and potential.
- True agents of chaos may be removed. People willing to grow are given a path to shed the label.
Everything else — 3 strikes
Outside the Golden Rules and hard Discord Terms of Service violations, we run a 3-strike system. It covers mild but repeated rudeness, ignoring channel rules, spamming or low-level drama, disrespecting boundaries after being told once, repeatedly dragging old conflicts into new spaces.
Gentle check
A DM or note: here's what happened, here's why it's a problem, here's what to do differently. Logged, but mainly education.
Firm boundary
A temp mute, temporary loss of certain channels or roles, and a clear 'this is your second strike; the next one triggers a full review.'
Council review
The Council reviews all strikes and context, listens to your side, and decides: probation with strict conditions, a longer mute or role lock, a time-limited ban, or removal if needed.
The goal is not to kick people out. It's to raise standards, help people grow, and keep Bless from rotting into either cruelty or over-sensitive chaos. People will clash, tempers will spike, some will leave and some will return. When they do, we meet them with open eyes, open arms and clear memory. Being family doesn't mean we never fight — it means we love, correct, forgive and grow together.
Discord Terms of Service
On top of the Golden Rules, Discord's official terms apply to everyone. Anything that breaks them — severe harassment, illegal content, threats — may mean immediate removal, a report to Discord, and a ban from every Bless space. discord.com/terms
Network expectations
Do not break Discord's Terms of Service
Anywhere in the network. It gets deleted, you get reported, and no owner is going to fight that for you.
Do not jeopardize the server
Whatever room you're in, it exists because someone built it. Don't be the reason it gets taken down.
Respect the person, argue the point
You can go as hard as you want at what someone said. Their humanity isn't up for debate.
Read the room you walked into
Coastal is not Xat. Hangover is not Addicted. Each space sets its own tone and you match it or you leave it.
No grooming, isolating or preying on people
This is the one thing the whole network agrees to hunt. Tea Town exists so it can't be buried.
Consequences are part of free speech
Say what you want. Expect people to answer, to report, to remember. That's not censorship, that's the deal.

Xat
Ran by Mike- Do not break Discord's Terms of Service. It gets deleted, and you get reported.
- Do not jeopardize the server.
- Toxicity is allowed — consequences from the people you aim it at are also allowed.
- No one owes you a soft landing. No one is going to chase you out either.
Coastal
Ran by Angel- No drama, no pure toxicity. Conflict goes to the proper channels.
- Mature conversation is the baseline, not the exception.
- Protect the energy of the room before you protect your point.
- Tune in. Listeners are what make the station feel alive.
Hangover
Ran by Thug- If you can dish it, be ready to be the meme tomorrow.
- Toxicity has to be entertaining. Cruelty without craft gets shut down.
- Good vibes days are protected as hard as chaos days.
- Everyone connects at the end of the day. That's the whole point.
Addicted
Ran by Jed- 21 and over. No exceptions, no negotiating.
- Discord's Terms of Service still apply, even at 4am.
- Sloppy is expected. Predatory is not.
- Pull up with your clique, but leave room for new people to land.
Tea Town
Ran by Chrissy- Bring what you know. Silence is how predators keep working.
- Tea Town informs; it does not sentence.
- Grooming, isolating, and preying on people gets named out loud, everywhere.
- Being confronted here is not the end of you. Hiding from it is.
